Oxford Academy is currently looking to hire a Language Arts teacher who will serve as a member of our residential faculty. A successful applicant must be outgoing, personable, and prepared to act as a model community member while helping supervise a dorm of 20 high school boys. Oxford is a small all-boys boarding school where teachers work with grades 8-PG. The "Oxford Method" involves individualized instruction and curriculum to best educate our diverse student body. This method is implemented in a one-to-one classroom environment. Our Language Arts course is an elective focusing on reading, writing and study skills for LD and ESL students. Individuals with experience working with teenagers in academic as well as non-academic capacities such as athletic, boarding or camp settings are encouraged to apply. This position is open to all applicants. This position could start as early as mid-June 2019 or September 2019.
